“The share of wisdoms across generations enables the brand to find a breakthrough in the tradition.”

Innovation does not mean abandoning tradition. The Scottish Whisky Tea, launched by a More Tea, is the fusion of old and new. The designer of More Tea, Selina Tsang, points out that tea and wine are safe gifting choices, but may not impress the gift receivers.

More Tea combined the two items. Black tea leaves are put into whisky barrels in Scotland for months, before being airlifted back to Hong Kong. The Scottish Whisky Tea is therefore alcohol-free but rich in flavor.

The Wisdoms of Different Generations
As the drink has become a non-alcoholic whisky black tea, Selina proposed to house the tea leaves in a clear glass bottle, but it is obviously more difficult than using ordinary packaging, especially in terms of transportation. Her team has spent a year researching how to strengthen the protection, “A good idea is worth spending time, to figure out ways to overcome all the challenges”, said Selina.

Despite the unique production and packaging, Selina mentioned that More Tea is a family business. The rich knowledge of tea products of the elders, plus their experience, are crucial for success, “The share of wisdoms across generations enables the brand to find a breakthrough in the tradition”, she believes.
