“Compared to working alone, collaboration creates something more than oneself can do, and may reach more audiences.”

When like-minded creators come together, chemistry is ignited. Hong Kong Puzzle Mystery: The Dim Sum Steam Off is a set of authentic and fun jigsaw puzzles. With Hong Kong culture as the background, Players need to solve the mystery by building a puzzle.

The puzzle is hand-drawn by the award-winning local artist, Kitty Wong, while the content of the mystery story and gameplay is conceived by Virginia Chan, an experienced tour guide in Hong Kong. The two discovered that they are kindred spirits with the same vision, “Both of us treasure local culture. The wave of immigration plus some iconic events, such as the leaving and capsizing of the Jumbo Floating Restaurant, pushed us to initiate a project to protect the memories of Hong Kong,” said Virginia.

Trust and Cooperation
Kitty also points out the importance of mutual trust for them to cooperate well, “Of course there is discussion, but we must first fully trust each other when it comes to his or her areas of strength,” said Kitty. She encourages designers to grasp more chances to work hand-in-hand, “Compared to working alone, collaboration creates something more than oneself can do, and may reach more audiences.”
