HKSDA has reached its grand finale at the prestigious Maison&Objet Paris, held from September 4 to 8, 2025, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. Following successful showcases in Shanghai and Hong Kong, this final stop captivated global audiences on its opening day, highlighting Hong Kong's creative designs and opening doors to new international collaborations.
Spotlight on Hong Kong's Creative Excellence
Maison&Objet Paris (M&O) is one of the key platforms for HKSDA's award-winning designs, it allows Hong Kong designers connected with global buyers, explored market trends, and showcased smart creations.
The vibrant opening ceremony, marked by a ribbon-cutting with representatives from the Maison&Objet team and key partners, set the stage for an exciting showcase. Ms. Helena Chiu, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Exporters' Association and Project Convener of the Hong Kong Smart Design Award, shared her enthusiasm:
“The Hong Kong Smart Design Awards continue to elevate the caliber and quality of our participants' work. Now in its 14th year, the competition showcases outstanding designs that embrace diversity, incorporating elements like sustainability and smart technology. This year's M&O emphasizes the design process and innovative experimentation, aligning perfectly with HKSDA's vision. We're thrilled by the global response and look forward to new opportunities.”
A Global Stage for Hong Kong Design
The HKSDA 2025 roving exhibition, which began in Hong Kong and Shanghai, culminated in Paris with 57 corporate entries: 11 in Toys and Games, 29 in Gifts, and 17 in Home and Houseware products. This showcase not only highlights award-winning designs but also fosters cultural exchange and international collaboration, propelling Hong Kong's creativity onto the global stage.
